Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Ballet North Carolina!

If you are unable to attend our in-person audition, we are pleased to offer the option of submitting a video audition for consideration.

Please submit the online Audition Form and your video.

Video Requirements

Please submit one unedited video that includes the following:

Ballet Barre (One Side Only)

• Pliés

• Tendus

• Dégagés

• Rond de Jambe

• Fondu

• Frappé

• Adagio

• Grand Battement

Centre Work

• Tendus

• Adagio

• Pirouettes (en dehors and/or en dedans)

• Petit Allegro

• Grand Allegro

Pointe Work (Ladies)

Please include:

• Relevés

• Échappés

• Pirouettes

• One additional pointe combination that best demonstrates your strength and artistry

Men's Technique (Men)

Please include:

• Double tours (if applicable)

• Assemblé en tournant

• Large jumps

• Pirouettes

Classical Variation (Optional)

If you have a recent classical variation performance or competition video, you are welcome to include it as a separate video.

Attire

Ladies

• Solid-colored leotard

• Pink tights

• Ballet slippers

• Pointe shoes (for pointe work)

• Hair neatly secured in a ballet bun

Men

• White or black fitted T-shirt

• Black tights

• Ballet slippers

Filming Guidelines

• Videos should be recorded within the last 6 months.

• Record in a well-lit studio whenever possible.

• Keep the camera stationary and positioned so your full body remains visible throughout.

• Do not use filters or heavy editing.

• Please announce your name and age at the beginning of the video.

Audition Deadline

Please submit your video by Friday, August 7, 2026.

Selected dancers may be invited to participate in an in-person company class or virtual interview before final placement.
